Newly crowned Western FLW Series Angler of the Year (AOY) Brent Ehrler (pictured) heads a list of 10 circuit competitors who've achieved berths in the 2011 Forrest Wood Cup. The schedule concluded over the weekend with the event at Arizona's Lake Roosevelt, and the Top 10 on the final points list secured slots at Lake Ouachita in Arkansas next August.

6. Ronald Hobbs Jr.: 704

10. Chris Zaldain: 683
Ehrler's finishes were 1st at Shasta, 4th at Mead, 19th at the California Delta and 3rd at Roosevelt.
“This has been a long time coming,” said Ehrler, the 2006 Cup champion. “I'm so happy I finally won the title. Being qualified for the Forrest Wood Cup really takes a lot of pressure off fishing the FLW Tour. I'm looking forward to next season.
"We're going to a lot of really great fisheries that are going to be challenging and fun. I'm especially looking forward to being back on Lake Ouachita for the championship. I have some experience there now and my goal is to become the first two-time Forrest Wood Cup champion.”
