The PAA Tournament Series event at Lake Tawakoni is still a go, but its status is uncertain due to severe weather in the Dallas area. The event is scheduled to get under way Thursday.
"It's under evaluation status," said PAA communications director Alan Clemons. "Tawakoni is a shallow lake that's fed by the Sabine River. The weather that's still coming looks like it's pushing norhteast, which is right over the Sabine.
"Right now it's on, but the final decision might not be made until tonight or tomorrow morning."
The lake is located about 15 miles outside Dallas. There's been flooding along the entire stretch from San Antonio to north of Dallas and about 35,000 homes in northeast Texas were reportedly without power this morning.
