Bass Cat's unique college help

Bass Cat's unique college help

Bass Cat wants to help collegiate anglers and will now sanction collegiate competitions through its Quest Tournament Incentive program.

The program requires that collegiate anglers be full-time students carrying at least 12 credit hours. But what's especially interesting is that the program seeks to help collegiate anglers whose direct family owns the boat. Thus, it doesn't involve student borrowing.

Bass Cat noted: "We realize that it's difficult for young anglers to own a boat and they often use those of their parents and grandparents. (To claim incentives) they must both qualify in and use an eligible Bass Cat boat during the event and those prior. This should help many young anglers who are now trying to own a boat for similar reasons, and are in no position to accept such fiscal obligations."

The incentives are:
> $2,000 for those with a GPA of 3.25 or better
> $1,000 for those with a GPA of 2.75 or better

Full details are coming, and will be announced on the Quest site and the Bass Cat Owners board.

Sanctioning will be handled under the same guidelines as all Quest events.
