Triton workers laid off

Brunswick idled its Triton Boat production line In Ashland City, Tenn. last week, in conjunction with news that it sold its Triton brand to Platinum Equity. Brunswick also idled its Lund fiberglass line at the same facililty, in preparation to move Lund production to Vonore, Tenn. In all, 135 workers were laid off.

However, Triton boss Earl Bentz told The Tennessean that the Triton employees will be offered production jobs in Flippin, Ark. in the coming weeks, as Triton production there gets up and running.
