Ranger trout?

Ranger trout?

We thought this was pretty funny.

Say you're Ranger Boats. You make bass boats (mostly) and are surrounded by some of the world's best and most famous bass waters. What activity are you going to have for your employees every year? A fishing tournament, of course.

What's one of the prizes? A boat, of course.

Think you've got it wired? Probably not.

Every year Ranger employees fish the "Annual Employee White River Tournament" on the getting-more-famous-by-the-day White River – for trout. One of the prizes is a boat, but it's a flat-bottomed river boat, not made by Ranger – though it does come with a custom RangerTrail trailer.

Pictured are this year's big winners (click on the photo to make it bigger). Top: The winning team was Claudia, Billy and Joe Hicks. Billy works in Ranger's finish room and caught the 5 1/2-pound rainbow. Dustin Jablonski, from the parts department, won the boat.
