Yesterday, BassFan published a feature story with red-hot pro Darrel Robertson, who's currently 2nd in the FLW Tour points. It included a note that Robertson and Mark Davis (who won the recent Ft. Loudoun–Tellico FLW Tour) were once travel partners. What follows is a little more from Robertson about Davis. Note that it seems to corroborate what Davis had said about his first year back with FLW.
"Mark spent the year last year kind of feeling like an outcast," Robertson said. "When he came back to FLW, I don't think he got treated like an outcast, but he felt like one. He didn't fish very well last year, but he started out this year and almost made the Top 10 in the first tournament (at Travis). And I was tickled to see Mark win (at Loudoun)."
Robertson added: "To be real honest, we roomed together for several years, and he's the best prefishing person I've ever seen. I've never seen anybody prefish as thoroughly as he does. And I have to credit him with a lot of my success, because I learned a lot about fishing (when we roomed together). He's one of the best there's ever been at going to a lake and saying 'Here's what you need to do,' and making more right choices than anyone else."
