Few pro staffs are as elite as Strike King's. We're talking legendary names like Kevin VanDam, Greg Hackney, George Cochran and Mark Davis. But the company didn't sign another legend this year. Instead, it promoted a strong up-and-comer from within. The newest member of the Strike King national pro staff is Texas pro James Niggemeyer, who's fishing next week's Bassmaster Classic and will compete as a rookie in this year's Elite Series.
He was previously with Strike King at the regional level, but is now a national representative. To date, his resume includes a win at last year's Santee Cooper Bassmaster Southern Tour, and in 2005, he won both a Bassmaster Weekend Series and BFL Regional.
Strike King pro-staff director Chris Brown said: "We were all very impressed with James and recognize his fishing and promotional ability. We're very excited to welcome him to our national staff, and wish he and all of our anglers much luck in the coming tournament season."
