A one-of-a-kind poster commemorating the 2006 Bassmaster Elite Series and a BASS lifetime membership will be up for auction on eBay through Saturday (Nov. 4). Proceeds will benefit a scholarship fund set up for the sons of a slain Reading, Pa. police officer.
The poster depicts a map of the U.S., with flags marking each Elite Series stop. The flags have been signed by the champions of those events, and the poster also contains the signatures of the other 2006 Elite anglers.
Officer Scott A. Wertz, a 9-year veteran of the Reading force, was killed Aug. 6 while attempting to apprehend a suspect. The auction was organized by co-workers Michael Kurtz and Troy Helser and Elite Series pro Randy Yarnall.
