BassFans know that Spro pro Dean Rojas is the consummate bait geek – constantly tweaking and adjusting his lures to achieve peak performance. But did you also know he's a big-time motorhead? He's a huge drag-racing fan, and his hobby is restoring old Mustangs. Last Friday, he attended the Las Vegas NHRA Nationals. And last year, at the SEMA show – an automotive specialty products trade event – he found out how much pro drag racing and pro fishing have in common.
"I went to the SEMA show last year in Vegas and I got to talk with (NHRA personalities) John Force and Eric Medland," he said. "(Medland's) a big fishing fan. Once he knew I was there, he wanted my autograph and photos with me. It was a really neat deal. It just shows you how much fishing's in motorsports too. And it was really cool to be recognized because those guys are all superstars. But they told me all they do is talk fishing in the shop."
