What they want, they got

Next week, in a special addition to regular coverage, BassFan will be highlighting those pros who are members of the Spro pro staff. For BassFans who didn't know, a short while ago, Spro began an aggressive campaign to sign the key minds within specific bait categories. The mission: let the pros build the bait they always wanted, but nobody else would make.

In the mix are John Crews (cranks), Dean Rojas (frogs and more), Bill Siemantel (swimbaits and more), Gary Dobyns (ripbaits), Charlie Ingram (cranks), O.T. Fears (spinnerbaits), and Gary Klein (jigs).

A few of Spro's 100% pro-deigned baits are already out, but most are in the pipes for a Jan. 1 or later release. What does Klein want in an ultimate jig? What design elements would John Crews want in a crank? What limitations in current ripbaits did Dobyns want to overcome? The answers, and more, are coming next week.
