Ask Dave Wolak what his biggest weakness is, and he'll tell you it's the crankbait. But that might change soon. He's packing his house in Warrior Run, Pa. right now, and moving down to North Carolina, which is basically the epicenter of American cranking.
"I'm moving to Wake Forest, right outside of Raleigh," he said. "My wife Jessica and I like the warm weather. That was one thing. But also, every trip I take through Virginia adds another day of driving on the way out and back. I'll be at the intersection of 95 and 40, so I have access east and west. It's 1 day to Okeechobee and 1 day to Champlain or Lake of the Ozarks. We're pretty much right in the middle of everything."
And what about that cranking handicap? "Maybe I'll learn something," he said.
