Mercury breaks new ground

Mercury Marine recently announced it would build a new manufacturing and warehouse facility in Oshkosh, Wisc. The company broke ground on the project in early September, and the 100,000 square-foot facility is expected to open in 2007. Mercury will transfer approximately 15 jobs to the site from its existing manufacturing facility along the Fox River, and from an exhibits design and warehouse facility in Fond du Lac.

Mercury general manager of remanufacturing Ray Atchinson said: "Mercury Remanufacturing is proud to call Oshkosh home. In 1999, we set out to create the remanufacturing business to renew and remanufacture Mercury engines for our customers. We've been very successful here and look to continue to grow our business in a new, larger facility."
