Clough leaves BASS

A BASS official said today that Noreen Clough, the organization's conservation director since 2004, has retired. Today was her final day in the position.

"We appreciate all the work Noreen has done with BASS, and we wish her well in her retirement," said director of communications Jamie Wilkinson.

She was appointed to the BASS position by then-VP and GM Dean Kessel in February 2004, replacing the retired Bruce Shupp. She'd previously been the southeast regional director for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and concluded a 30-year career with the federal government in 1997.

She directed the BASS Conservation Program, which supports the conservation activities of members and Federation Nation chapters.

Wilkinson said BASS is actively searching for her replacement.
