Two-tour California pro Ish Monroe recently inked a sponsorship deal with Tru-Tungsten. He joins present team members Mike Iaconelli, Marty Stone, Denny Brauer, Peter Thliveros, Jason Quinn, Larry Nixon, Gerald Swindle, Greg Hackney, Luke Clausen and Andy Morgan.
As part Tru-Tungsten's pro team, Monroe will work hand-in-hand with the company to develop trademark products.
Tru-Tungsten is a Fish Harder company, and Fish Harder chairman Tim Gregory said: "Ish has some great ideas that will help every fisherman out on the water and we're going to try to develop some of them over the next year."
"It's more than just cool, it's awesome," Monroe said of the deal. "I'd been using Tru-Tungsten products even before they became my sponsor, but I'd been stealing them from (roommate Mike) Iaconelli."
Monroe also noted he already has a new Tru-Tungsten product in development, but was tight-lipped about the details. "There's going to be stuff coming out with my name on it that should get people real excited," he said. "The first will be something I used this year to win at Amistad, but that's all I can say about it."
