Jordon's reel caper

Jordon's reel caper

At some point this season, Abu Garcia gave its pros prototypes of the new low-pro Revo (as in "Revolution") reels to play with. Actually, a better word would be "lent" because the idea was for the pros to use and abuse the reels under tournament conditions, then send the reels back for evaluation by the Abu staff.

The pros didn't want to give the reels back, but they all did – except one: Kelly Jordon. "I said, 'Heck no,'" Jordon explained. "I told them they could have it back when it broke."

Apparently Jordon sorted through a bunch of demo Abu Garcia reels at the recent ICAST industry tradeshow, and managed to extract a couple more Revos out of the pile (see photo). He calls the three he has now "my babies."
