Legendary Lake Powell biologist reflects

The Deseret News, Utah's largest newspaper, ran a feature over the weekend on Wayne Gustaveson, who recently retired after 45 1/2 years as a biologist at Lake Powell. Gustaveson's impact on the fishery – and the anglers who frequented Powell – was immeasurable. In 1982, without permission from his agency, he introduced 800 smallmouth bass into the lake. That population has grown to an estimated 10 million.
