Douglas talks smallmouth on Facebook Live

Mille Lacs Lake is one heck of a fishery to learn on, especially for smallmouth bass.

Josh Douglas can attest to that and he'll be sharing some of the knowledge he’s gained over the years fishing the world-class smallmouth fishery in Minnesota during a special Shimano Facebook Live fishing school event Wednesday evening.

Douglas will join host JP DeRose at 8 p.m. EST for a live-stream conversation during which Douglas will share his fishing skill set for targeting smallmouth in the spring, both on northern lakes, where the fishing is just starting to heat up, along with southern impoundments, where he’s learned to catch smallies while competing on the FLW and B.A.S.S. tournament circuits.

Douglas and DeRose will discuss tackle and baits to use, locations to target, and will answer viewers' questions throughout the hour.

“We want to keep America fishing with #ResponsibleRecreation in mind,” said Shimano’s pro staff manager Blaine Anderson. “While are Facebook events have included anglers with exceptional experience and knowledge on the water, we are making it a point to provide easy-to-understand, basic information for what seems like thousands of folks who are rediscovering the of being outdoors and enjoying time on the water.”
