The time a train wreck stocked Nebraska fisheries

The Omaha World-Herald published a story over the weekend recalling an 1873 train wreck that resulted in the Elkhorn River receiving a bunch of fish – bass included – that were intended to end up in California. The incident provided Nebraska anglers with excellent fishing for several years thereafter.
