Chickamauga Elites PPD until March 19-22

On Monday, B.A.S.S. officials decided to postpone the Lake Chickamauga Elite Series that was originally scheduled to begin Friday.

The new tournament dates will be March 19-22.

The announcement was made during the Bassmaster Live webcast of the final day of competition at the St. Johns River. The weather forecast for the Dayton, Tenn., area over the next few days calls for heavy rains beginning Monday night with rain lasting through Thursday.

Friday and Saturday are expected to be somewhat clear of precipitation, but then more rain is expected Sunday and next Monday, when the tournament was due to conclude. On Monday, the National Weather Service issued a Flood Watch for portions of southwest North Carolina, southwest Virginia and east Tennessee, including Rhea County where Dayton is located.

Additional details will be published as they become available.
