MLF Bass Pro Tour competitor Jason Christie caught a 22-10 sack to take a lead of nearly 3 1/2 pounds after the opening round of the Grand Lake Southwestern FLW Series in Oklahoma.
Christie, who has vast experience on Grand, told FLW media that he caught the bulk of his weight after making a mid-day change to his program. He caught fish on reaction baits and also did some flipping.
Only two other anglers eclipsed the 18-pound mark – Cody Bird with 19-03 and Todd Castledine with 18-06.
