Howell’s boat up for grabs at annual event

Time is running out to pledge your support for King’s Home, a faith-based charity devoted to assisting women and children in Chelsea, Ala., while at the same time having the opportunity to take home Randy Howell’s 2018 tournament boat.

The winner of this year’s boat will be announced Saturday, Nov. 17 as part of the annual Kampfire for the King event at the King’s Home campus. This will be the eighth year that Howell has partnered with the charity to give away his boat. Approximately $1 million has been raised over the past seven years.

“The fishing community has been an awesome part of the success of the kids, teens, and ladies at King’s Home through our boat giveaways each year, and we need your support again this week,” Howell said.

This year’s boat is a 2018 Triton 21-TRX Elite with a Mercury 250 Pro-XS. It also has two Lowrance HDS-12 carbon units, a Minn Kota Ultrex trolling motor, Bob’s Machine Shop hydraulic jack plate, two 8-foot Power-Pole blades, custom Bluewater LED lighting package on boat and trailer, four Odyssey batteries, Gator Guard Keel Shield, T-H Marine Products accessories and HydroWave. Trailer has stainless steel fenders, EZ-Troll steps and 17-inch Rock Star wheel package.

Members of local high school and college fishing teams will be on hand to help run the youth fishing derby that will be among the other activities at the day-long festival.

To donate, click here. Each $100 donation gives you one chance to win the boat. Donors do not have to be present to win (please indicate phone number on ticket). The drawing will be live-streamed on Howell’s Facebook page at 2 p.m. CT on Nov. 17.
