WON Bass U.S. Open tournament director Billy Egan announced late last week that the field for this year's event, set for Oct. 15-17 at Nevada's Lake Mead, is approaching record size. The standard was set last year when 208 boats competed.
The field will be capped at 224 boats for the 36th annual derby. As of Friday, 194 were signed up.
