TNO Fishing organizes ride to benefit vets

TNO Fishing, the parent company of Luck “E” Strike recently commissioned a custom 2017 Harley Davidson Softail Slim S and had it painted using the company’s American Original series of lures as inspiration.

The bike was on display in the company’s booth at ICAST and the project has gone from a Made in the USA marketing tool to become the centerpiece of a charity event designed to raise awareness and funds for Special Operations Wounded Warriors.

The bike will be ridden during the Operation American Original: Riding For Heroes ride, which will begin Aug. 9 and continue through Aug. 16 with planned stops at various tackle dealers along the way. The ride will originate at the TNO Fishing plant in Greenwood, Ark., and weave its way east to Memphis, Tenn., before swinging down to Huntsville, Ala.

The ride will continue to Columbia, S.C., during the Forrest Wood Cup and after the competition, FLW Tour angler James Watson (pictured) will join the ride for the next leg to Somerset, Ky. The next stop will be Louisville before moving on to Geneva, Ill. The ride’s final leg will finish up at The Waters of Minocqua in Minocqua, Wis., where the group will celebrate the ride’s conclusion.
