Pennsylaniva angler Stanley Sypeck, Jr. saved his best for last at the Oneida Lake Bassmaster Northern Open.
Sypeck sacked a tournament-best 20-07 (the only 20-pound stringer of the event) and surged to a 3-plus pound victory at the fertile Central New York fishery. His 3-day total was 55-08, which was 3-05 better than runner-up Wesley Strader, who caught 16-07.
Glynn Goodwin and day-1 leader Alex Wetherell both finished with 51-14, but Goodwin got the nod for 3rd based on his 19-02 catch on day 2.
