Patrick Sebile, a premier lure designer who sold his namesake brand to tackle giant Pure Fishing seven years ago, has left the company, according to a report published Thursday by Angling International.
Sebile is currently in Budapest, Hungary, attending the EFFTEX trade show, but he's not affiliated with anyone. His departure is the latest in a slew of changes enacted at Pure Fishing since Newell Brands acquired it as part of its purchase of Jarden last year.
“The owners have made decisions about changing the structure at Pure Fishing and I respect that,” Sebile told Angling International. “I will be taking time in the next few months to consider what I do next."
