Skeet Reese Raffling a $10K Prize Package to Support Kids

Bassmaster Elite Series angler Skeet Reese has $10,000 worth of fishing tackle he wants to give away as part of his annual kids fishing day at Meadow Vista Community Center in Auburn, Calif., this weekend.

“The whole idea of my kid’s fishing day is to give back to a big group of kids at once and get them excited about fishing," Reese said.

The 2009 Bassmaster Classic winner is expecting more than 400 kids to participate in the event, which will also feature food trucks, ICEE machines, bounce houses, face painting, casting competitions and other activities.

"We take over a whole park," Reese added. "It’s a family event. It’s also an opportunity to raise money and help other programs. This year I wanted to step it up a notch and with the help of my sponsors I was able to put together a great package that is appealing to any fisherman across the country."

Raffle tickets are available for $10 apiece and all proceeds will support youth-based charities, including Tackle The Storms, Kid's First, among others.

Included in the prize pack is: a Power-Pole II, a Lowrance HDS 9 Gen 3 Touch screen, a Mercury Tempest prop & Quicksilver Oil, a set of four General Tires of the winner's choice, Lucky Craft Lures, Berkley tackle packs, Lazer TroKar hooks, Ranger Boats PFDs, a Huk Gear Next Level rain suit.

Ticket sales end at 3 p.m. PST Saturday. The drawing will be held live on Reese's Facebook page at 2 p.m. PST Sunday. To buy a raffle ticket and learn more about the event, visit http://skeetreeseinc.com/?page_id=5172.
