A GoFundMe account has been set up to help former Bassmaster Classic champion and two-time B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year Guido Hibdon and his family defray medical expenses incurred from the 70-year-old's battle with colon cancer.
A statement on the account's web page says that Hibdon is believed to be cancer-free after five months of chemotherapy treatments that concluded in December, but complications have arisen and the road to full recovery remains long. He reportedly lost 140 pounds after becoming ill, but was encouraged when he recently gained back five.
The goal of the campaign is to raise $100,000 by July 4. To donate, click here.
