Steve Smits as assumed the role as president of Zebco Brands-North America. He'll be responsible for leading the company's business operations in the U.S. and Canada.
“The strong leadership and collaborative style Steve has demonstrated during his tenure with Zebco Brands has been key to his success and the achievement of sales and marketing objectives," said Zebco CEO Jeff Pontius.
Smits joined Zebco in August 2013 as senior VP-sales and marketing. During his tenure, he has accepted increased leadership in not only sales and marketing but also product engineering and quality. His new role will bring additional responsibility in operations and sourcing.
Smits' background includes a stint as senior VP of North American sales at Pure Fishing, along with employment at consumer products manufacturers Keurig Green Mountain, Scotts and Procter and Gamble.
