BASS announced that due to unsafe conditions, it has relocated two of its ESPN Outdoors Bassmaster Series Lone Star division events. Both events will now take place at Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Jasper, Texas.
The first Lone Star tournament will take place on its originally scheduled date of March 5. The second tournament, originally scheduled for May 7, will now take place Aug. 13. Two other tournaments in the Lone Star Division, scheduled for June 4 and Oct. 1 at Sam Rayburn, remain unchanged.
Bassmaster Series tournament director Bruce Mathis said: "It's an unfortunate situation with Toledo Bend, as the Huxley Bay Marina and the City of Shelbyville were very helpful. But the safety of our anglers is our first priority."
BASS noted that anglers who have already registered for the relocated Toledo Bend events will have their entry fees automatically applied to the corresponding Sam Rayburn tournaments.
