Missouri Sports HOF adds Clunn

Four-time Bassmaster Classic winner Rick Clunn was among 15 individuals inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday night.

Clunn, who lives in Ava, Mo., has appeared in 32 Classics and has amassed more than $3 million in career earnings. He became the oldest angler to win an Elite Series event last year when he took the victory at the St. Johns River at the age of 69.

Joining Clunn in the induction class were former professional, college and high school standouts from across Missouri, including former St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Vince Coleman and former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Bill Kenney.

Houston Astros owner Jim Crane was also inducted for his achievements as a pitcher for the University of Central Missouri baseball team. The weigh-in portion of this year’s Classic in March will be held at MinuteMaid Park In Houston, home of the Astros.
