Arkansas duo wins Bass Cat team event

The team of Pete Dubois and Ty Bowman won the 4th annual Bass Cat Boats National Team Championship, prevailing over 10 other regional qualifying duos in the two-day event contested on five bodies of water near the company's headquarters in Mountain Home, Ark.

The winners finished with a total to 26.83 pounds. That was a little more than a half-pound better than the runners-up, three-time winners Brad Kell and John Morris of Kentucky.

The field fished Table Rock, Taneycomo and Bull Shoals lakes on day 1 and the White River and Norfork Lake on day 2. Dubois and Bowman reported throwing 3/4-ounce jigs for most of the event.

The winners will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Mexico's Lake Picachos.
