Lowrance Electronics signed a multiyear sponsorship agreement with FLW Outdoors and replaced Garmin as the official freshwater electronics of FLW Outdoors.
FLW Outdoors chairman Irwin Jacobs said: "Nearly all of our anglers utilize sonar and GPS technology on the water. With Lowrance joining the sponsor family, our tournament boats will now be equipped with the finest electronics the fishing industry has to offer. For 2006, that equipment will include a big-screen LCX-25C sonar-GPS combo at the console, and a full-size color LMS-332C combo at the bow."
Lowrance VP of marketing Bob Callaway said: "We're thrilled about our new sponsorship of the FLW Outdoors freshwater circuits. A large percentage of FLW anglers currently use our sonar and GPS products. This sponsorship combines the leading bass and walleye tournament trails with the leading pro anglers, plus the world leader in electronics. It's a win-win situation."
Lowrance is a longtime BASS sponsor, and a BASS official confirmed that Lowrance will continue its sponsorship of BASS events.
