Evers talks hooks

With as shallow as many of the Bassmaster Classic competitors were fishing last week at Grand Lake, there was plenty of attention paid to making sure hooks stayed sharp because of the amount of rock and wood that was strewn around the lake in the 1- to 6-foot range. A lot of the fish were only swiping at the baits and anglers reported that many of their catches were "barely hooked" once they got them in the boat.

For Classic winner Edwin Evers, he relied on a variety of baits and his hook choices were critical to his success. In the embedded video below, he talks about the selection of Mustad hooks he used in pulling off his impressive come-from-behind victory.
