Meninger to 'Cast for Cure' at Cup

Fifth-year FLW Tour pro Jason Meninger will be fishing for a cause at next week's Forrest Wood Cup at Lake Ouachita in Arkansas. As he has done throughout the 2015 season, 20 percent of Meninger’s Cup winnings will be donated to the University of Colorado Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. Meninger's sister was treated at the school's cancer center and the angler is a cancer survivor himself.

He'll also give fans an inside look at competing in one of fishing’s most prestigious tournaments. He'll deliver in-boat livestreams during competition days, Periscope livestreams at the weigh-in tanks and social channel updates throughout the week.

Here's a look at the schedule:

> Friday, Aug. 14 (Periscope livestream): Before hitting the road for Arkansas, Meninger will talk about the week to come and his ‘Casting For A Cure’ initiative.

> Saturday, Aug. 15: Once in Arkansas, Meninger will provide an inside look at practice prep, as well as life on the road with travel partner Adrian Avena.

> Sunday, Aug. 16 through Tuesday, Aug. 18: Practice updates and off-the-water happenings.

> Wednesday, Aug. 19: Meninger will outline his off-day tackle prep and overall planning and strategy for the event. He’ll also provide behind-the-scenes access to the evening’s registration dinner via Periscope livestream.

> Thursday Aug. 20 through Sunday, Aug. 23: Beginning with morning interviews and take-off videos, Meninger will also run daily on-the-water livestream feeds, check-in videos en route to the arena for weigh-ins and Periscope livestreams at the tanks during weigh-ins. A final viral iPhone recap video will be posted to all of Meninger’s social channels at the event’s conclusion.
