Dave Mercer is well known among BassFans as the emcee of the Bassmaster Elite Series, but as the host of the "Facts of Fishing" television series, he and the production crew are always pushing the limits in an attempt to capture on-the-water sequences in fresh and innovative ways.
In the video embedded below, you'll notice a clip toward the end where it appears a camera has been attached to the back of a bass, which is then released. It's no illusion – the crew devised a mount for the new GoPro Session camera which attaches to the fish and releases once the fish gets a set distance away. The fish is able to swim away unharmed and the footage gives viewers a perspective they've never had before – the underwater world through a bass' eyes.
