Former MLB player auctioning custom Ranger

Baseball Hall of Famer Wade Boggs is auctioning off the custom-designed Ranger Boat that was given to him after he reached the 3,000-hit milestone in 1999.

The auction, which opens today, is for the never-used 19-foot Ranger 518SVX bass boat equipped with a Mercury 200 HP Optimax outboard that Boggs was given by Tampa Bay Rays owner Vince Naimoli. The boat is carpeted in the Rays' metallic teal blue and silver team colors.

The boat remains in brand new condition and the eventual winning bidder will also receive a "Wade Boggs Fishing Experience" where they will be able to spend a few hours fishing with Boggs before/after pick up is arranged.

Bidding starts at $10,000. To view more details and photos, click here.
