James Dudley, the father of three-time FLW Tour Angler of the Year David Dudley and an avid angler himself, passed away Wednesday evening, according to a post on Dudley's Facebook page. He was 73.
The elder Dudley sparked the love for fishing in his son and won two BFLs himself in the early 2000s. He was also a regular competitor in the Rayovac Series Southeast and Northern divisions. He finished 30th in the 1982 Bassmaster Classic at the Alabama River.
