Sacramento River: Daniels' Best Bets

<b><font color=purple>Sacramento River: Daniels' Best Bets</font color></b>

FLW Tour pro Mark Daniels may live in Alabama now, but he’s California to the core – “I miss it every day,” he says.

He’s enjoyed great success competing at the California Delta over the years, compiling several 35-plus pound stringers in local tournaments and winning the Western Rayovac Series there last May. BassFan leaned on him for his four anglers to watch and a darkhorse to keep an eye on at the Sacramento River Elite Series this week.

1. Ish Monroe
> Daniels says: “I’ve known Ish a long time and he cut his teeth on the Delta just like I did. He probably knows that river better than anybody in the field and he will have the flexibility to fish by the seat by of his pants.”

2. Skeet Reese
> Daniels says: “He was second the last time they were there and he also knows it well. He knows some secret areas that no one knows about, but he might not be able to access those. He still has momentum going from his win at Guntersville.”

3. Fred Roumbanis
> Daniels says: “He’s another guy I’ve known a long time. He’s another Bay Area guy and he has to be a favorite out there.”

4. Aaron Martens
> Daniels says: “He’s just good everywhere.”

Darkhorse: Randall Tharp
> Daniels says: “He’s not a darkhorse type because he’s a stud, but this place is basically Okeechobee with a tide and that’ll play to his strengths.”
