Hanselman pulls out win at Rayburn

Ray Hanselman is 2-for-2 in the Texas Rayovac Series this season.

After winning the season opener at Lake Amistad in February, he closed out another victory Saturday at Sam Rayburn Reservoir. He caught 16-10 today, his smallest stringer of the event, to finish with 60-08.

His winning margin was more than 7 pounds over Kris Wilson, who wound up with 53-06. Jim Tutt was 3rd with 52-10.

“I’m honestly shocked," Hanselman said. "That’s about the only way to describe how I feel right now. You always want to win, but to take two in the same season is just incredible.”

It marked the first time an angler has back-to-back wins in Rayovac FLW Series history and he did amidst challenging conditions after heavy rains in recent weeks brought the water level at Rayburn up to levels not seen in more than a decade.

Here's how the Top 10 finished up:

1. Ray Hanselman: 60-08
2. Kris Wilson: 53-06
3. Jim Tutt: 52-10
4. James Stricklin Jr.: 50-15
5. Denny Brauer: 50-03
6. Joe Don Setina: 49-11
7. T.J. Goodwyn: 47-10
8. Ricky Guy: 44-05
9. Randy Sitz: 41-05
10. Tommy Dickerson: 34-03

Pattern details from the top three finishers will be published at a later date.
