In the fishing world, TV personality Mark Zona is a pretty big star. Now Blue Water LED, a leader in quality marine LED lighting, is going to make him shine even brighter by sponsoring his popular Zona’s Awesome Fishing Show in 2015.
“A couple of years ago I noticed the LED lights on Randy Howell’s boat and I thought they looked pretty strong,” Zona said. “Plus, they just make so much sense in terms of working on tackle in the dark, trailering or night fishing. When I looked up Blue Water LED, I was impressed by the company’s commitment to customer service. I could tell they were run by fishermen for fishermen.”
Blue Water LED has also announced new sponsorships of Elite Series pros Jordan Lee, Ott Defoe and Fred Roumbanis.
Lee, a former College Series standout, will be embarking on his rookie season on the Elite Series this year.
“Successful tournament fishing is all about the details,” he said. “Retying knots, sharpening hooks, changing lure colors – you can’t see those critical details in the dark. Having onboard LED lighting makes a big difference in tackle prep efficiency. Signing with Blue Water LED is a home run for me.”
Defoe will be fishing his fourth consecutive Bassmaster Classic next week at Lake Hartwell.
“Any more, so much of my tackle prep is done at night or before sunrise, especially in the short days of winter,” Defoe said. “So by teaming up with the guys at Blue Water LED I can work on tackle anytime, anywhere.”
