Hollowell, Red Gold join Dalbey's cause

FLW Tour pro Rich Dalbey, founder of the Hooked on Helping food drives that occur at each tour stop, announced that Red Gold Tomatoes will donate 1,000 pounds of tomato products to the charity this year. Also, Red Gold-sponsored Tour pro Todd Hollowell will become a Hooked on Helping spokesman.

In 2014, the drives collected 1,150 pounds of food, along with cash donations, that contributed to more than 5,000 meals. The effort led to Dalbey receiving the Forrest L. Wood Sportsmanship and Community Leadership Award.

“My goal in starting Hooked on Helping was to give back to the communities that we visit on the FLW Tour," Dalbey said. "I also hoped that others would join in this mission, and I’m honored that Todd and Red Gold have values that align with mine and have offered to help with our cause. It’s quite a blessing.”

Hollowell, a fourth-year Tour pro, saw an opportunity to help Dalbey’s cause and took action.

“I’ve come to know Rich fishing the FLW Tour and I have a lot of respect for him for his selflessness and humility. He’s put a lot of time and energy into coordinating these food drives and is truly making a difference."
