Decoy omen didn't work for Lane

At the Lake Toho Southern Open, Elite Series angler Russ Lane happened upon a duck decoy that had become entangled in some matted vegetation. Thinking it could bring him some good luck, he put it in his boat. The end result was a 139th-place finish. The following week, without the decoy in his boat, he was 73rd at the Lake Okeechobee Southeast Rayovac and earned a small check.

In the embedded video below from Lane's Facebook page, the decoy pays the price for messing with Lane's Florida mojo.
