We Love to Fish, a Massachusetts non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the love of fishing with intellectually disabled adults, has announced that Saturday, Jan. 24 will be We Love to Fish John Murray and Josh Bertrand at Saguaro Lake in Arizona.
Located 40 miles from downtown Phoenix, Saguaro will serve as a backdrop for seven participants of We Love to Fish's program in Massachusetts who will travel to Arizona to enjoy a day of fishing with the two Elite Series anglers. It will be the first such trip for many of the participants.
"The outdoors has always been my source of fulfillment and contentment," said Murray. "Hopefully it can be the same for the We Love to Fish participants we are taking out. That is our goal."
While the idea to host the day was Murray's, fellow Arizonian Bertrand is also looking forward to the day.
"Working with participants from We Love to Fish is an incredibly rewarding opportunity," said Bertrand. "Fishing is a universal language, and I can't wait to get out on the water with them and have some fun."
We Love to Fish director Rob Lever is also looking forward to the day.
"This is a once in a lifetime trip and experience for our guys," said Lever. "To work with Murray and Bertrand on this day has been wonderful, and I'm excited for them to meet the amazing participates of We Love to Fish."
