FLW announced today that career earnings leader David Dudley will join Mark Rose on the Walmart fishing team in 2015.
Dudley replaces Wesley Strader, who'd competed under Walmart's colors for several seasons. It was also announced Minnesota co-angler Nicole Jacobs will be sponsored by the giant retailer. Jacobs is no relation to FLW CEO Irwin Jacobs.
This will be Rose's third year with Walmart, while Dudley had been in search of a title sponsor since Castrol opted to not renew its long-standing FLW sponsorship last fall.
“With a family of five children to support, we definitely do a lot of our shopping at Walmart,” Dudley said. “I believe in the company, and that’s extremely important to me in a title sponsor. I look forward to representing the Walmart brand in 2015.”
