California Bassmaster Elite Series angler Jared Lintner has signed a sponsorship deal with Canada-based Freedom Tackle Corp.
"We are excited to have Jared as part of our pro staff for 2015," said Freedom's Nick Tamburro. "Jared is a great angler and we believe he'll be one of the top anglers again this upcoming season.
"We are strong advocates of the future of fishing and Jared is a great ambassador in educating and supporting the next generation of anglers. This sport of fishing is changing and we welcome Jared to the Freedom Tackle revolution."
Lintner said he discovered the Freedom Hydra swing-head jig at Tackle Warehouse a couple of years ago and began using it frequently, but didn't know much about the company until a TW buyer spoke with a Freedom representative at ICAST and relayed Lintner's enthusiasm for the product.
"It's a really a neat deal because, unlike with most swing-heads, you're not just stuck with whatever hook is on there," Lintner said. "You can rig it on any hook you want."
