Jody Jordan of Vacaville, Calif., weighed a 28-10 bag Saturday to win the Clear Lake Western EverStart with a 3-day total of 81-01. He finished 2 ounces ahead of day-2 leader Jason Borofka.
“I fished an EverStart here last year and didn’t do very well, so I wanted some revenge on the lake,” said Jordan, who began the final day in 3rd place, about 3 pounds out of the lead. “It’s incredible to win. I’m numb.”
He caught fish on a rattlebait, a deep-diving crankbait and an 8-inch swimbait. Full details of his winning pattern will be posted soon.
