ICAST: Three-For-All a no-go

Here's Mann's pro-staffer Paul Elias holding that company's newest creation called the Three-For-All. It's a cluster of three soft-plastic swimbaits joined together by a strip running across their noses. The middle bait is threaded onto to an accompanying 1/4- or 3/8-ounce jighead.

Like the Alabama Rig, which Mann's distributes, Elias is prohibited from using this one on the Bassmaster Elite Series as well. He said a prototype was submitted to B.A.S.S. for consideration at the season-opening event at the Sabine River and it was deemed to violate the circuit's prohibition of multi-lure rigs.

Naturally, Elias disagrees with that decision.

"In my personal opinion, B.A.S.S. is a little overboard with this ban," he said. "This is only one bait – everything's connected."
