A brief notable: Earlier this month, Yamaha Marine Group and every one of its business units – boat companies Century, Skeeter and G3 – received an NMMA CSI Recognition Award for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction for 2007.
"Excellence in customer satisfaction isn't just about great product," said Yamaha Marine Group president Phil Dyskow. "The most satisfied customers are the ones who had an outstanding experience from the moment they walked into the dealership. That's what we strive for. The achievement is a credit to our dealer network. Our dealers have worked hard on customer focus, and it's paying off. But we're equally proud of our customer relations team."
Yamaha was recognized in the Outboard Engine category, Century and Skeeter in the Fiberglass Outboard Boat category, and G3 Boats in the Aluminum Outboard Boat category. Two years ago, during a time when many industries were out-sourcing functions such as customer service, Yamaha Marine Group went against the trend and created an in-house customer relations department specifically for the Marine Group. All Yamaha boat companies also have in-house CR teams.
