Minnesota Vikings defensive end Brian Robison and his Reel 'Em In Foundation will conduct a fund-raising tournament April 1-2 at Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Texas.
The first day of the event will feature an open team tournament with a $200 entry fee per boat (meal ticket and shirt included). The first-place team is guaranteed at least $4,000 and the big-bass award will be $1,000.
The second day will consist of a VIP/auction tournament in which Bassmaster Elite Series anglers will be paired with professional athletes or other celebrities, and they'll be joined by the highest bidders on each boat. Auctions will take place following the team tournament. The list of scheduled participants includes Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and cornerback Terence Newman, along with pro anglers Kevin VanDam, Brandon Palaniuk, Keith Combs, Gerald Swindle, Troy Broussard and Mark Zona.
The foundation is partnered with K9s4Cops in 2017. A portion of all proceeds from the tournament will be donated to place trained canines in law enforcement agencies and schools.
