Virginia-based Release Reels announced today via a press release that it's changed its name to proof reels due to another company in the marine industry's legal challenge of Release's former trademark.
"I want to reassure everyone that nothing has changed, from ownership to warranty to customer service," said founder and president Wes Seigler. "This is simply an opportunity for our little company to raise the bar to yet another level and continue to improve."
